About Norfolk Line Ferries:
All ferry
ships have a range of facilities on board, including a variety of
restaurants and bars, a VIP lounge, children’s play areas and amazing
value shopping facilities.
Checking in on one of the Norfolk line ferries couldn’t be easier. You
should be at the port 45 minutes before departure and have your valid
passport or valid photographic EU national identity card ready. A
driver’s licence alone will not be enough.
Staff on board of the ferry will show you where to park your car on
board. Once on the ferry make sure you take everything you need for the
journey out of the car since you won’t be allowed on the car deck during
the crossing.
If you don’t have a car and are boarding the ferry by foot, of course
the Norfolk Line staff will guide you along as well.
On board of the ferry you can then relax and enjoy the journey, whether
you are shopping, kicking back with a pint or watching the children have
fun in the play area. Travelling has never been more relaxed.
Dover to Dunkirk Ferries from Norfolk Line
The Norfolk Line ferry service doesn’t run from Dover to
Calais but from Dover to Dunkirk, just a few miles along the coast from
Calais. For many destinations Dunkirk is
better positioned than Calais with direct links to the A16 and A25
motorways in France.
Dunkirk is especially well placed if you are heading for Belgium, the Netherlands or Germany,
Dunkirk is located closer and more convenient.
Ferries and crossings to Dunkirk are generally quieter than Calais, which means
of course that the roads and motorways leading away from
Dunkirk are a bit emptier than in the Calais area.
How to find the cheapest prices for Norfolk Line Ferries
- Take a night departure (a ferry departing between between midnight and 6am) as there are more cheap spaces on these departures.
- Avoid peak times. Prices are high at times of peak demand such as school holidays.
