Taking the Ferry from Dover to Calais
Finding the Dover ferry terminal is straightforward. Dover is close to the main road network in the South East and the M2 motorway or the M20. The ferry terminal is well signposted from both motorways and upon arrival in Dover. Dover is about 70 miles south of London. Boarding time and check in is quick and easy. However, it is always best to leave in plenty of time to be sure you arrive at Dover in time for your ferry departure.

The journey time is around 90 minutes. You must leave your car during the journey, so you are free to enjoy the shopping and cafés on-board the ferries. Or if you prefer you can just stretch you legs and get some fresh sea air, before you have to set off driving again.
How find the cheapest tickets

Also, you will need to book in advance in order to get the best fares. By booking online, as far ahead in advance as possible, you will have a much better chance of a cheaper fare than if you just turn up on the day.

east Calais, along the coast of northern France. So this is perfect if
you plan to drive to Belgium or further east. Dunkirk is also on the
French motorway network with the A25, so driving further south to Lille
